bottoms

Steve doing what I wished.. but could not..

I actually found that through my cycling – running back up the hill was easier than walking… not the sort of insight that I was wanting from the lapse rate charts I had drooled over the night before…

My failure I think was launch timing – personally during my flights I found the airmanship to be very good – all HG and PG pilots were looking and so there was no issues with traffic even though it was busy.

I had set a task to go west so I began to work my way down the ridge finding the westerly faces working ok and a few broken thermals – my mistake was maybe to have the task and the desire to get to Truleigh it made me push when I should have waited…

Some close inspections of the powerlines and a forlorn hope I would find a save over the bubbly bottom field later saw me make 2 x bottom landings….

I dont agree with the fact that when I looked up and saw 4 rigids at cloudbase and 5 flexies in the bottom field owes anything more than coincidence – but I do think however they get more time slightly to ride out the time between cycles… not sure…

I enjoyed my day however.
